Shopping with Bitcoin

In principle Bitcoin can be used for any kind of shopping, trade or economic transaction - even today. You can buy shoes, coffee, a new car or even a whole shop with bitcoin if both parties agree on Bitcoin being the way of payment.

In practice however the use of Bitcoin and any other crypto currency is much more limited. The main reason is that Bitcoin is not widely accepted - and for other crypto currencies this is even more the case. Other reasons are legal regulation or practical limitiations. Since there is still no common international agrement on the tax issue this also can make it problematic to pay with Bitcoins and simlar currencies and tokens.

Kraken
The largest Euro-Bitcoin Exchange. With Kraken it is possible to trade a large number of Crypto Curriences including Stellar Lumen, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and others. It is possible to transfer money via SEPA transfer to European bank account.

Coinbase
One of the leading bitcoin exchanges - especially important in USA. Coinbase is very selective and it is only possible to trade Bitcoin and a few other altcoins. Coinbase also has a more advanced exchange, Coinbase PRO, but you have to sign in on Coinbase before being able to use.

Bitfinex
A big international exchange. It is possible to trade af very large number of different crypto currenices

An easy and fast way to buy smaller amounts of crypto currencies with creditcard.

MoonPay
An easy and fast way to buy smaller amounts of crypto currencies with creditcard.

Wirex
Paying service for crypto. Offers cards from both Mastercard and VISA, based on a crypto account.

Nexo
Banking service for crypto. By setting your currency as collateral you can borrow FIAT money. You can also stake money (FIAT and Crypto) and get interests in return. A credit card is also on its way.

Stellarport
Direct acces to the Stellar Decentralized Exchange making it possible to trade almost any asset directly on the Stellar Network. You withdraw Stellar Lumen but you need to find an anchor or transfer to another exchange to withdraw Euros, Dollars, kroner og other fiat currencies.
